The Grand Seiko SBGY007, known as the "Omiwatari", is hand-wound Spring Drive dress watch from the brand's Elegance Collection. Its most striking feature is a light blue textured dial inspired by the "Path of the Gods"—ice ridges that form on Lake Suwa in Japan during winter. The watch is powered by Grand Seiko's Manual-winding Spring Drive Calibre 9R31, which offers quartz-level accuracy with mechanical power, and a 72 hour power reserve achieved via a Dual Spring Barrel. Another signature of the Spring Drive movement is the Smooth Sweep of the seconds hand, which glides continuously without any discernible ticking. Unlike most other Spring-Drive models, the power reserve indicator is moved to the case back for a minimalist aesthetic that focuses on the texture of the dial. The watch has a 38.5mm stainless steel case which, due to the manual-wind movement, achieves a profile of just 10.2mm. The case is finished by Grand Seiko's Zaratsu polishing technique. The watch was provided on a blue/black Alligator strap with blue stitching complete with a signed deployant clasp.
