The IWC Aquatimer (Ref. IW329001) is a professional-grade diver's watch that balances IWC’s heritage with modern functional innovations. Originally introduced around 2014, it is the three-hand model in the Aquatimer range. Its most distinctive feature is the SafeDive system, a patented external/internal rotating bezel design. Wearers are able to rotate the external notched bezel, which then uses a sliding clutch at 9 o'clock to turn the internal dive scale. For safety, the internal ring only rotates counter-clockwise to prevent accidentally extending dive time.

The 42mm stainless steel case has a mainly brushed finish but with polished accents, and features a proprietary quick-change strap system system on the lugs, allowing the black rubber strap to be swapped for a steel bracelet without tools. Enhancing the professional divers specification is a screw-down crown affording an impressive 300m depth rating.

The black dial uses two colours of Super-LumiNova for maximum legibility underwater: the minute hand and the first 15 minutes of the dive scale glow green, while the hour markers and hands glow blue. 

The watch is powered by the IWC 30120 automatic calibre, which is based on the rock solid ETA 2892 movement giving it a 42h power reserve, central hacking seconds, and a date window at 3 o'clock. 

The watch was originally supplied on a high quality IWC quick-release rubber strap with signed pin buckle.

This example, dating to 2019, is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition and is supplied with it's original IWC double box-set, original warranty card, all booklets as supplied, and hang-tags.
