Product description

The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Chronometer (Reference 2603.50.37) is a classic, luxury Dress/Sports hybrid from the original Aqua Terra collection. It is defined by its elegant 18ct yellow gold construction and the introduction of the revolutionary Co-Axial movement technology.

The 39.2mm round case is crafted from 18ct yellow gold with a mixture of polished and brushed finishes. The case is set off by the striking gloss black dial with applied 18ct polished yellow gold hour indices and 18ct polished yellow gold faceted hands.

The watch is powered by the Omega Calibre 2500, a self-winding chronometer movement, the first iteration of Omega's Co-Axial escapement movement. It offers a 48-hour power reserve, superior long-term precision, and longer service intervals. The movement is viewable through a Sapphire crystal display case-back.

The watch also has a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides for maximum clarity, and was originally supplied on a brown alligator leather strap equipped with an 18ct yellow gold deployant clasp.

Adding to the watches sporting credentials is a screw-down crown affording the watch an impressive 150 metre depth rating, making it suitable for swimming and snorkelling.

This specific model is currently discontinued but remains highly regarded by collectors as being a pioneer of Omega's modern Co-Axial era.
This example, dated to 2002 is offered with it's original box-set comprising of an outer cardboard box, and inner polished wood box with Omega medallion decoration (as reserved for all of their 18ct gold models, Omega operating instruction manual, Omega card holder and original international warranty stamped and dated October 2002.
