The Rolex Datejust 16200 was produced from 1989 to the early 2000s, and is often seen as a transitional model between vintage and modern. This reference featured a 36mm 904L stainless steel Oyster case, smooth bezel, and Sapphire crystal. A screw-down Twinlock crown afforded the watch a 100 metre water resistance rating. The watch is powered by Rolex's ultra-reliable Calibre 3135 automatic movement featuring a 48-hour power reserve and quick-set date function. The watch was available on either stainless-steel Oyster or Jubilee bracelet options. This combination makes it a robust, daily-wear option that suits both formal and casual settings.
This example, dating to 1994 is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition, with minimal signs of wear, and minimal stretch in the bracelet. The watch is offered with it's original 'punched papers' guarantee stamped and dated as first sold by Goldsmiths in May 1995, original hang tag and a Rolex inner and outer box set.
