The Rolex Yacht-Master 16622 is a 40mm luxury sports watch that debuted in 1999 as the first model to feature "Rolesium"—Rolex's patented combination of 904L stainless steel and 950 platinum. Often described as a more refined alternative to the Submariner, it is built for life above the water rather than below.
The 40mm stainless steel with a more contoured, slimmer profile compared to the Submariner. The watch features a solid 950 platinum, bidirectional rotatable bezel with a sandblasted background finish and raised, mirror-polished numerals. The dial is made of solid 950 platinum with a distinctive textured shimmer effect designed to reflect light like waves. The watch is powered by Rolex's Calibre 3135, known for its reliability. A screw-down Triplock crown affords the watch a 100 metre water resistance rating. The watch comes on a stainless steel Oyster bracelet with polished centre links—a feature it helped pioneer—and solid end links that extend slightly past the lugs on this specific reference. The production of the 16622 reference was discontinued in 2012. 

 

This example dating to 2006 (Z-Serial, without engraved rehaut) is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition with minimal signs of wear, having been subject to a full Rolex service in March 2017, and is offered with it's original inner and outer Rolex box-set, hang tag, Rolex Yacht-Master booklet, Translation booklet, plastic wallet with 2005/6 calendar card, original 'Punched Paper' guarantee certificate stamped and dated October 2007 and, Rolex service guarantee card dated March 2017.
